As a Domiciliary Carer, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care and support to individuals in the comfort of their own homes. This role requires a strong sense of empathy, excellent communication skills, and the ability to assist clients with various daily activities.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Personal Care: Assist clients with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting. Provide support with mobility and transfers, ensuring the safety and well-being of clients.
- Medication Management: Administer medications as prescribed, following proper procedures and documentation. Monitor and report any changes in medication effectiveness or side effects.
- Meal Preparation: Plan and prepare nutritious meals according to clients' dietary needs and preferences. Support clients with feeding if necessary.
- Companionship: Engage in meaningful conversations and activities to provide companionship. Accompany clients to appointments, social outings, and recreational activities.
- Household Support: Assist with light housekeeping tasks, such as tidying up, laundry, and maintaining a clean and organized living environment. Ensure the safety and cleanliness of the client's home.
- Health Monitoring: Observe and report any changes in clients' physical or mental health. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to implement care plans and interventions.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and detailed records of care provided, including daily activities, changes in health status, and medication administration.
- Communication: Communicate effectively with clients, their families, and healthcare professionals. Report any concerns or issues promptly to the supervisor or designated point of contact.
- Professional Development: Participate in ongoing training and development programs to enhance skills and knowledge in caregiving. Stay informed about best practices in domiciliary care.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Previous experience in caregiving or a related field is desirable
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

- Basic knowledge of health and safety practices.
